The Rainbow Wheel makes learning chemical nomenclature fun, exciting, and palatable for students. The game consists of two colorful Rainbow Wheels with specific ions on each. The students spin the wheels and then are required to write out the formula and name for the resulting cation/anion combination that results.

The Rainbow Matrix is an online version of the Rainbow Wheel Game. Instead of wheels, there are two matrices of ions. You start the anion/cation selection process by pressing a button and the ions start to randomly blink until you decide to stop. The students are then required to write out the formula and name for the resulting cation/anion combination that results.

The Virtual Introductory Chemistry Lab is exactly what the name suggests. An intro chemistry lab that is delivered virtually through the world wide web. This lab is intended to complement an introductory level intro chemistry course that is also delivered online. Dr. Chimeno has written a text "Applied Chemistry" to complement this Virtual Lab. It is available at Linus Books. The lab's goal is to give the students lab experience and knowledge that would approximate what they would have learned in a real lab setting.

As the name suggests this is an Organic Chemistry lab that is delivered virtually through the world wide web. This lab is intended to complement an Introductory level Organic Chemistry course. The lab's goal is to give the students lab experience and knowledge that would approximate what they would have learned in a real lab setting.

There are twelve different virtual lab experiments that include: Physical Properties of Hydrocarbons, Identifying Alcohols, Phenols, Aldehydes, Ketones, Carboxylic acids, Esters, Amines, Amides and Carbohydrates by their Chemical and Physical properties. Labs also include Synthesis of Aspirin, Polymers, and Soap; plus the Analysis of Lipids and Separation of Amino Acids via TLC. Students will be asked to Identify an Unknown at the end of the Experiments by using their acquired knowledge of basic Organic Chemistry. This is an excellent supplement for any student who is taking Organic Chemistry!!!
